Background:

Dr. MacDonald holds a dual appointment at the Keck School of Medicine in the departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Surgery.  She joined the Keck faculty in 2006 after completing her residency training in 2003 and her breast surgery fellowship in 2006, both at LAC+USC Medical Center.  During her fellowship training, Dr. MacDonald developed case based curriculum for medical student education in breast cancer and was awarded an “excellence in teaching” award in 2006.  Since joining the Keck faculty, Dr. MacDonald has practiced both breast surgery and gynecology at the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and served as a clinician in the Lynn Cohen Clinic for women at high risk for inherited breast and ovarian cancer.  Dr. MacDonald also serves as the director of the Women’s Breast Diagnostic Center at Women’s Hospital.
