Benign and Malignant Colorectal Disease

In addition to treating cancer, the USC Colorectal Center has experience in managing inflammatory bowel disease and benign disorders of the colon, rectum and anus. The Center offers anal manometry, defecation treatment programs, anal electromyography (test that measures muscle response to electrical activity within muscle fibers) and other tests to help specialists determine which patients with symptomatic problems of defecation - including diarrhea, constipation or incontinence - may benefit from medication or advanced surgical techniques to reconstruct the sphincter muscle and perineal floor.
